Inspection and testing options based on project requirements, with process records and production traceability available for each build.

Our PCBA Manufacturing Process

From design review and component sourcing to assembly, testing and delivery, our engineering-led process helps reduce production risk and keep every PCBA build traceable.

1. Design Review

We review Gerber files, BOMs and assembly requirements, then provide DFM feedback before production.

2. Component Sourcing & PCB Fabrication

Approved components are sourced and PCBs are fabricated according to the confirmed specifications and production plan.

3. SMT & THT Assembly

Components are assembled using surface-mount and through-hole processes, with in-process inspection throughout production.

4. Inspection, Testing & Delivery

Completed PCBAs are inspected and tested according to project requirements, then packed with production records for delivery.

PCBA Manufacturing Services FAQ

The following answers cover common questions about our PCBA manufacturing services for prototypes, pilot runs and low- to mid-volume production. For project-specific requirements, send us your Gerber files, BOM and expected quantity for review.

What files are needed for a PCBA quotation?

For an accurate quotation, please provide Gerber files, a BOM with manufacturer part numbers, PCB specifications, estimated quantity and any assembly or testing requirements. Pick-and-place files, drawings and approved alternative parts are also helpful. If some documents are not ready, send the available information and we will identify what is still needed.

Do you support prototype and low-volume PCBA production?

Yes. MG PCBA supports fast-turn prototypes, engineering validation builds, pilot runs and low- to mid-volume orders. We can help review manufacturability before production and maintain the same approved documentation as a project moves from prototype to repeat builds.

Can you source components and fabricate the PCBs?

Yes. Our turnkey service can include BOM review, component sourcing, alternative-part coordination, PCB fabrication, SMT and through-hole assembly, inspection and testing. Any proposed substitutions can be reviewed for approval before use, and sourcing decisions can be documented for future repeat orders.

What inspection and testing options are available?

Inspection and testing are planned according to the requirements of each project. Please provide available test methods, fixtures, acceptance criteria or special inspection instructions with your RFQ. We will review them before production and confirm the applicable inspection, testing and reporting arrangements in the quotation or production plan.

How is production traceability maintained?

Production records can be maintained for materials, process status, inspection and testing according to the agreed project requirements. This helps support repeatability, issue review and future production. The exact level of traceability should be confirmed during quotation, especially for projects with controlled components, special testing or documentation requirements.

How long does a PCBA project take?

Lead time depends on PCB specifications, component availability, order quantity, assembly complexity and testing requirements. After reviewing the Gerber files, BOM and production plan, we provide a practical schedule. Components with long or uncertain lead times are identified early so alternatives or purchasing decisions can be discussed before the build starts.
