MG PCBA manufacturing capabilities support prototype, pilot-run and low- to mid-volume printed circuit board assembly projects. Our Shenzhen facility combines 10 SMT production lines, 3 dedicated prototype lines, component sourcing, SMT and through-hole assembly, inspection, testing and documented production traceability.

From engineering review and material preparation to assembly, inspection and final delivery, each project follows a controlled manufacturing workflow. Our team works with customer-supplied Gerber files, BOMs, pick-and-place data, assembly drawings and testing requirements to prepare an appropriate production plan for each PCBA project.

SMT Assembly Capacity

MG PCBA operates 10 SMT production lines for scheduled PCBA manufacturing and 3 dedicated prototype lines for engineering samples and pilot builds. This structure allows us to support early-stage verification, design revisions and repeat production without treating every project as the same manufacturing requirement.

Our SMT workflow covers solder paste printing, automated component placement, controlled reflow soldering and post-reflow inspection. We support single-sided and double-sided SMT assembly, as well as mixed SMT and through-hole projects. Production preparation is based on the approved BOM, component packaging, pick-and-place data, assembly drawings and process requirements.

Through-Hole and Mixed Assembly

For components that cannot be assembled by SMT alone, MG PCBA provides through-hole insertion and soldering based on the approved assembly drawings and work instructions. Typical requirements may include connectors, switches, transformers, large capacitors and other mechanically stressed or leaded components.

We also support mixed-technology assemblies that combine SMT components with through-hole parts on the same board. During assembly, component orientation, polarity, lead condition and connector alignment are checked before inspection and testing. Special requirements such as hand soldering, customer-supplied components and do-not-fit positions should be identified in the BOM or assembly documentation.

Component Sourcing and Material Management

MG PCBA supports turnkey component sourcing, partial turnkey projects and customer-supplied materials. Before purchasing begins, the BOM is reviewed for manufacturer part numbers, package information, quantities, lifecycle concerns and any approved alternatives. Questions and component substitutions are submitted for customer confirmation before production.

Incoming materials are checked against the approved purchasing and project information before they are released to production. Component identification, storage, moisture-sensitive handling and material preparation are managed according to the requirements of the part and assembly process. This helps maintain consistency between prototypes, pilot runs and repeat production orders.

Inspection, Testing and Traceability

Inspection requirements are planned according to the component package, assembly complexity and customer specifications. Available controls include visual inspection, automated optical inspection and X-ray inspection where required for hidden solder joints or complex packages. Inspection findings are reviewed before boards move to the next manufacturing stage.

Testing can be performed according to customer-provided procedures, fixtures, firmware and acceptance criteria. Depending on the project, this may include continuity checks, programming, power-on verification or functional testing. Production and inspection information can be recorded to support lot identification, process review and project traceability.

Prototype, Pilot-Run and Repeat Production

Three dedicated prototype lines support engineering samples, design verification and small pilot builds. Prototype projects are prepared from the latest approved production files so that component changes, assembly concerns and test requirements can be identified before a larger production run.

When a project moves into repeat production, revision status, approved materials, assembly instructions and testing requirements are reviewed again before manufacturing. This approach helps customers move from initial prototypes to low- and mid-volume production while maintaining clear communication and controlled project documentation.
