Turnkey PCBA Assembly Services

Turnkey PCBA assembly brings PCB fabrication, component sourcing, assembly and testing together within one coordinated production workflow. MG PCBA supports customized electronic projects from prototypes to low- and mid-volume production according to the customer’s files, BOM and verification requirements.

Customers provide the available manufacturing data and project requirements, while the service scope is confirmed according to board complexity, component availability, assembly method and testing needs. This approach helps reduce coordination between separate suppliers and keeps purchasing, production and verification aligned with the approved project information.

What Is Included in Turnkey PCBA Assembly

A turnkey project may include PCB fabrication, BOM review, component purchasing, SMT and through-hole assembly, inspection, programming, functional testing and final product integration. The actual scope is confirmed before production according to the files and requirements available for each project.

Some customers require complete material procurement and finished assembly, while others provide selected components, programmed devices or test fixtures. The production arrangement can be adjusted to reflect customer-supplied materials and the responsibilities agreed before manufacturing begins.

File and Engineering Review Before Production

Before purchasing and production begin, the available Gerber files, BOM, placement data, assembly drawings, programming information and testing instructions are reviewed for consistency. Missing information, revision differences, unclear component orientation and special process requirements are confirmed with the customer.

The review also considers manufacturability, component packages and the relationship between PCB, assembly and testing files. Resolving these questions before material preparation helps reduce avoidable delays, assembly errors and repeated clarification during production.

Component Sourcing and Material Control

Component purchasing is arranged according to the approved BOM, manufacturer part numbers, packages and required quantities. Availability, lead time and potential supply risks are reviewed before orders are placed, while customer-supplied parts can be incorporated into the project when agreed.

Incoming materials are checked against the available purchasing and project information before they enter production. If a specified component is unavailable, possible alternatives may be reviewed, but no substitute component is used without customer confirmation.

Turnkey PCBA Manufacturing Process

After the files and materials are confirmed, production may proceed through PCB fabrication, solder paste preparation, SMT placement, reflow soldering and required through-hole assembly. The manufacturing route is selected according to the board design, component types and approved process requirements.

Projects may also include programming, enclosure assembly, cable connection or final product integration when the necessary instructions and materials are available. Confirmed production information is recorded so that each stage follows the same approved project requirements.

Inspection, Testing and Traceability

Assemblies are inspected according to the board design and agreed project requirements. Inspection may include component orientation, polarity, placement accuracy, solder-joint condition and visible assembly defects, with AOI used where applicable to the manufacturing process.

Electrical testing, ICT, functional testing, programming or aging tests can be arranged when the required fixtures, software and acceptance criteria are available. Production and testing information can be recorded according to the agreed traceability requirements for each project.

Production Scheduling and Delivery

Production timing depends on PCB specifications, component availability, assembly complexity, order quantity and testing scope. After the files and BOM are reviewed, the expected material preparation, manufacturing and verification schedule can be confirmed for the project.

Before shipment, the completed quantity, packing requirements and delivery method are reviewed according to the agreed order information. Freight arrangements may be coordinated based on the destination, shipment size and customer requirements.
